Update on the braided ground connection at the location of the stomp starter linkage hinge strap.
Rather than placing the ground strap on top of the hinge strap of the stomp starter, I placed it under the hinge strap directly contacting the bell housing. I used a thin washer under the hinge strap where the rear bolt goes through the hinge strap. I did this to level up the hinge strap due to the thickness of the ground strap under the front hinge strap bolt.
I them put the bent sheet metal piece on top of the hinge strap.
I will find out soon enough if the addition of 3/32" under the strap will affect the function of the engagement of the stomp starter
I will be back once I find out one way or the other.
