52Carl, if you want to preserve the conductivity of those connections, I recommend you clean each surface to bare metal, then use an electrical paste such as NoAlox on each side of the components, a little smear on the surface. It won't wash off and keeps the surface from oxidizing. As long as the bolt/s stay tight, the electrical conductivity will last a little past forever. It is a little messy and sticky but works well.
