Wow, looks like you know your trucks!
I just took a look at the hinges. I think you are referring to the springs shown on the attached image.
If so, yes the holes and spring attached to the center of the arms.
Although it looks like I only have one spring on the passenger side and not on drivers side.
Body is decent - kind of.
It does look like it has had some work done - probably 50/60 years ago?
And, I put a nice dent in the front fender my self.
someday, maybe I'll have to do some more work on it.
the wiring is original.
I'm hoping to start on that this winter.
Although, I'm getting to old to be crawling under that dash for most of it.
