Nice 47 GMC. The idea to keep it as original as possible is near to my heart.

I can see you have the 8 bolt front bumper that is believed to be 1947 only. In 48 there were only 4 bolts used on the bumper. If you look at yours, you will see 4 of the bolts are just for looks and not holding a bracket.
I am wondering if your hood hinges have the hole in the center of the arms and possibly if the spring is still attached? That is another 47 only item that is not documented anywhere.
It looks like the body is in decent shape and very nice that it is a running and driving truck.
Hopefully the wiring harness has been replaced at some point. Those 75 year old wires disintegrate if you look at them sideways.
Glass is the easy part as it is all flat.
