When I retired 4 years ago and had my OpSec/Security debrief (And I hold a security clearance that's as high as they come...) No one ever said anything about being relieved of that obligation.
I *am* an American fighting man. I still consider myself part of the force ready, willing and able to give my life in its defense.
And I am *intensely* proud to be a member of the All Volunteer Force who *willingly* volunteered to serve our country.
