They sell combination pressure / vacuum gauges at any auto parts store for about $20. Buy one.
Disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor and put the hose over the steel line. Crank the engine and read the gauge.
You can use a T connection to test the pump pressure while the engine is running. Same results either way.
