I was changing the mechanical fuel pump on my 1964 bus "Bessy" and I had trouble getting the sliding rod to stay up so I could get the pump arm to go back in. Someone suggested a hacksaw blade because they bend easy. I figured I would share this in case anybody else was having the same issue or will have.
