Time is money to folks that make it their business. Just a matter of how you want to spend your money on someone else time or new parts.
Kind of how I look at all my repairs on vehicles now days. Unless that thing has to be its "all original parts" kind of truck then I would go with the repair yourself of by new option.
Don't even have to buy new. I am sure plenty of guys have used ones on this site.
