Lee, I don't have personal first hand pics to share, but have included pics I took of details from a 1942-47 Passenger Car / 1942-46 Truck Shop Manual Windshield instructions (pics 1-2) and from a 1929-46 Chevy Master Parts book showing the lower windshield to dash area details (pic 3) which may provide some help with your friends reassembly. Hope it gives you at least a start to what he needs.
