I have silently watched this site for a long time and learned so much from all of you!
I am just finishing a 1959 Apache and I figured I needed a new challenge. I ended up with two 1941 GMC pickups. One I will restore and one I will likely rehome. Both appear to have factory steel beds both had heaters though only one was the GMC factory heat. Both have 4 speed transmissions in them from what I can tell.
Any tips on rebuilding the 228s and finding hard to come by parts would be appreciated.
Both trucks have engine and body manufacturing tags saying they were manufactured by the Yellow Truck and Coach Mfg. Co. Pontiac, Michigan. My home state.
