Hydraulic lifters cant be trusted either. My friend just had his total restoration job on a '72 Blazer with a 350 self destruct the top end in about 40 minutes when the hydraulic lifters failed.

Summit sent him a new roller cam set lifters, etc totalling over $3500. So far, so good on the new higher end parts.

They obviously were aware of the problem because they barely put up a fuss over the claim.
