If it's because your current headlights are not bright enough, you have other problems such as poor grounds, bad connections, worn out wiring, wrong gauge battery cables, or wrong gauge wiring in the headlight circuit.
I use my truck as a regular vehicle and drive at night all the time. I'm frequently in areas without streetlights and my 6v sealed beam halogen headlights are as bright as any modern vehicle.
I rewired the headlights from the dimmer switch to the headlights a couple years back with new 12gauge wire and proper connections and a new junction block as original.
I bought these Wagner 6v halogen lamps from Classic Truck Parts. The halogens also look a lot better on the truck than the weird looking LED bulbs.

Make sure your headlights are aimed properly or even new bright lights will appear dim from the driver's seat.
