Was checking out your pic of your gas tank, i have the same setup, ground to cab brace, will recheck my ground to be safe. Notice in ur pic your tank seems centered, creating a good flat surface so the sender. My tank is angled top towards the back of the cab and when u think about it that sender is also at an angle instead of straight.
