Car and truck bellhousings are noticeably different- - - the -motor mounts won't interchange, and there aren't any bolt holes on the car part to mount the foot starter linkage. Your 1950 truck uses mounts that are basically vertical. In 1954, the trucks switched to a 45 degree angled mount, so you'll need to find a 1953 or earlier truck housing, or switch to a 54-up firewall area crossmember with the angled mounts.
