The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay 216 alternator to 12v - correct way to wire?

I put a volt meter in place of the ammeter in my gauge cluster that way the current does not go into the dash before the going to the starter. I followed the tech tips advice for that conversion and it works great. My one wire alternator goes to the starter battery post. I used a 10ga wire. I did a second volt gauge if anyone needs one.
