I sold that truck about 2 years ago, to a guy (Dunns Wrecker Srervice) in Raleigh, N.C. I puchased it out of Fayetteville, N.C., where it had spent all it's life. The guy in Raleigh had been trying to buy it for many years, but was unable to. I purchased it from the original owners wife, & Dunn tracked it down to me after I had it around 3, or 4 years. It was powered by a big block 409 engine, 5 spd. Spicer Trans, with a 23000lb. Eaton 2 spd. rear axle. Front axle was the Heavy Duty 11000lb. axle. This was Heaviest spec'd "L" series you could have bought back in 1965. It also had Factory power steering, & full air brakes. I also had a 1960 Chevy L80 Tractor, at the same time, that had a 348 eng., 5 spd. trans, 18000lb. Eaton rear axle, p.steering, & full air brakes. Had a Red '64 Chevy L60H LCF also.
