Who knows what correct. Without a confirmed original to look at it would be hard to tell. Lots of factors to consider. Different tire/rim sizes, different assembly plant, different year (especially between 53 AND 54).
The actual history of both trucks I posted pics of is unknown. I do know that the bed on mine did not have original mounting blocks. Who knows what else was changed when they were doing that.
