Both mine have the cable with knob on the dash to engage the pto and then a lever down on the floor to operate the hyds. One has it on the floorboard the other to the left of the divers seat. I haven't had to add oil to either of them yet but braceing the bed up with blocks is a MUST!!! I have heard a couple fatal stories. Those hoists seem to be pretty much trouble free not much that can go with with them.
