Let my 53 chevy with 216 and 3 speed set all winter and the clutch disc would not disengage due to a coolant leak from the same freeze plug you are talking about leaking and resulting in coolant making its way onto the flywheel and clutch plate area. Another good reason for you to pull the engine and replace all freeze plugs.
