There used to be a photo album on this site labeled "IRWIPI"- - -(It Ran When I Parked It!) Some of the pics showed vehicles with trees growing through holes rusted in the sheet metal. Unless the seller can fire up the engine and let you hear it run before you start swapping dollars, you're buying scrap iron. Even then, "Caveat Emptor!" Lots of things other than the condition of the carburetor need to be addresses before starting any engine that hasn't been run in a few MONTHS- - - -let alone years!
