Some of us have converted the late valve cover to the two-stud one for ease of valve adjustment, and eye appeal in the case of the finned aluminum version. These take the no-holes gasket and Fel-Pro dropped that part number some years ago. I don't remember where I got the last thick, cork gasket but I'm careful with it at valve adjustment time. I'm wondering if someone makes a neoprene gasket with some ribs so it won't squirt out from under the valve cover. Best Gasket has a good reputation but I haven't looked to see if they offer a neoprene version. I keep a close eye on valve clearances because I run the old beast hard over the road. Leaving on a multi-thousand mile trip next week.
