I'm working on destroking a 283 crankshaft to 2 7/8 inches. In a 305 block, that will bring the cubic inch size down to around 250. With a small 4 barrel carb, a roller cam, and a rev kit, that one should rev to around 9K and stay together. I've got a couple of sets of NASCAR Carrillo connecting rods to run in that one. The fiberglass body kit car it's headed for will weigh around 2K pounds.
