Just for added info, the big bolts use two steel washers with the bronze washer in the middle, shims are selected to keep the tolerance to a minimum. As long as you keep it greased, I don't see an issue with the washer type. My truck is rated at 16,000 lbs. with a 4400 lb. front axle rating. I was very pleased with results of new pins, bushings, thrust washers.
