I tried re-hookin mine up and found that it did stick in the open position. When I fired it up one morning it red-lined immediately. It's amazing how s-l-o-w the brain works when it can't comprehend the unexpected. I thought my motor was coming out the hood before all my pistons were firing and I turned off the key.
Before reattaching the cable, I thought it would be a great idea to boost the RPM's a bit on warm-up so I wouldn't have to keep my foot on the pedal. Is there a right way and a wrong way to hook it up so that it does behave?
