I have determined that my manifold is a high rise single plane. From what I have learned here I believe that my 283 would perform better in my application, with my 3:08/1 differential with a more appropriate manifold. I think my Edelbrock is spread bore based on the apparent difference in throat diameters.
Please view the images and confirm my carburetor type so I can look at manifold options.
