It has 4 wires and one goes to the ignition switch and one activates the ignition. Without this connection, the engine will not fire. Just crank. Hey Peggy I did it again, 3 for 50 tries  . I found a similar switch but only 2 prongs. Will have to buy 2 not very expensive but I need to check with my mechanic.
