Yes, it will bolt onto the engine- - - -no, it's not a drop-in fit. Chevy cars got a cast iron Powerglide in 1950 with a torque tube driveline and a hydraulic lifter 235 engine, but it's somewhat different than the truck rear end. I have a 216 engine and a 1951 Powerglide, plus the rear end from the same car (3.55 gear ratio). PM or call if you're interested. There would be a considerable amount of fabrication involved in adapting it to a truck.
