on a 66 GMC, I blocked the tranny up, disconnected everything, and pushed the truck away from the tranny (dont forget to put a rolling jack under the engine if it has side mounts). I changed out the clutch ect and pushed the truck back to the tranny... all it took was a bit of wiggling to get it back in place... :hammering:
