Drill and tap it if you can ( I don't think it's hardened) and use a long bolt or a piece of all thread, a nut and a flat washer, and a deep socket to pull it back to the original position. A 3/8-24 thread should work OK. The line connecting the two ports needs to be 1/2" inside diameter if you aren't running a full flow filter.
