Ok ordered a diff gasket this morning. Didn't know about drum gasket. At the end of the week I'm asking for an updated account of what is done and cost. Not afraid to tow back to storage if things are not adding up. I would be doing all myself but want to get the motor in, bearings, brakes, new radiator, starter, clutch kit and our local transmission shop is the best so that would be next if we can keep moving forward. I rented a hot water power washer and scrubbed the bottom clean. Used kroil many times on nuts/bolts and loosened all on brake lines. Pushed some new grease into everything that had a zerk to push out water and old grease.truck is super rust free for Iowa. Prepped well.
