Depends on what style windlace retainer you had. 47-mid 49 trucks used a screwed on retainer with the windlace sandwiched underneath. Late 49 trucks have a channel retainer that's spot welded on to the cab, with no screws visible. Jim Carter sells the later style channel in sections here and the complete set around the door opening right side and left side.. They also sell sections of the older style retainer, which is screwed on here.
There should be evidence of screw holes if you had the older style retainers.
