Question. Is that reading going to transfer properly to the actual gas gauge in the truck?
I am in the habit of testing the sending unit in the truck where I can watch the
needle move E to F.
Only if the float reaches all the way to the bottom of the tank and all the way to the top of the tank. Anywhere in between and you'll get approximations of fuel level.
Adjust your float arm if necessary to accomplish this.
