Go to the website and have a look. I'll bet you can buy a new set of springs, bushings, and two new shocks for less than $500. And the best part is that all that stuff will just bolt on without any modifications necessary.
You're going to have to raise the stance if you want to improve the ride without totally customizing everything. The reason the ride is harsh is because there is no movement in the suspension. It needs to travel up and down.
