The consensus is it was grey (of varying shades depending on the plant building the engine/truck.) Buy paint from Jim Carter Link or The Filling Station Link. Both claim to have the "correct" color. Unless you can park your truck REAL CLOSE to an original truck, no one will be able to tell if you got the right shade of gray.
