Am sure you know there isn't a lot of online readily available info on GMC trucks, especially those back in the 1930's.

Can you provide a picture of the data plate to help try and deduce what you have???

I did a bit of searching and found a picture from an old 1938 GMC sales document that seems to give a list of the offered Model #s, but "114b" wasn't one of them.

Could you be mis-reading the numbers? I found model#s "T14" (1/2 Ton) and "T145" (3/4 Ton) that could relate to the "114b", but without a way to see it for ourselves, not really able to help confirm.

This older thread 1938 GMC Serial # location may help you find what you are looking for.
