I would like to put seat belts in my 47 3600. Not just lap belts. I looked at old posts about this topic and would like some input on what was used and how the install worked out for them. The rear upper door post is several layers thick of metal and should be strong enough to support the shoulder belt attachment. It is a five-window cab, so I have limited area to fit that bracket. Being it is a 47, I have the original under the frame gas tank, so my lower interior cab corners are lined with the interior sheet metal, not open like a truck that has the inside gas tank. I'm thinking I should be able to fit it in the corner and just behind the seat riser panel that is attached to the door post. What brands are best? I don't want used from the salvage yard. I know that I don't have to install them in my state, but I've been in an accident with a drunk driver, and had I not had my seat belt on, it could have been worse. It totaled my 95 3/4-ton 4x4 power stroke extended cab. It was head on with a FxxD ranger after he bounced off another car just ahead of me in the left lane, then straight on to me in the right lane. I'm glad I was buckled up.
