I just came across the same thing. Is it leaking when running or when turning over. If it is running then it is a float problem. If it is while turning over it is unused gas and not to worry about. They make a place on updraft carbs cause the unused gas can't run up as it would be and if unused it needs to escape from the carb. My truck doesn't do it when it is healthy, just when I was turning it over a bit on first start-up some time back. Hope that helps.
