The outlet of the tank is likely plugged with crud. I've had that happen on another vehicle. The rust flakes line up over the outlet and stop the flow.
You can probably get going again (temporarily) by removing the line between the tank and fuel pump and blowing air into it.
[on edit] the act of adding fuel may have removed the obstruction (again, temporarily).
