Try the standard SAE viscosity test- - - -time the flow of a specific volume of oil through a calibrated orfice with a stopwatch at various temperatures. While multi-viscosity oils lubricate like the heavy stuff at full temp, they don't get physically thicker- - - -at least in every test I've ever done. What have the results been of the tests you've accomplished?
