Asking for a friend with limited computer skills.
Don't need to open cans of worms about which oil to use, multi vis vs. straight, synthetic vs. dino, etc
He is located in southeast Texas, so pretty warm in the summer. I don't know how many miles are on the engine, which is a '56 235.
His question is "Oil pressure seems low with 10W30. Will changing to 10W40 increase oil pressure, and is this a good idea?"
He doesn't say how low is low. I've asked for idle PSI and 40 mph PSI and will post here when I get those numbers.
Question to the forum is what PSI should he see at idle and running down the road?
