I would classify the 'sprung cab' theory as 'BEE-S'. As you questioned, how come one side and not the other.

I have enclosed a link to "chuckthetruck's" site. He has a small drawing showing how to bend and tweek hinges to overcome specific alignment problems.

I have followed them and my doors came out pretty good. It's a art, so don't get frustrated right off the bat. Good luck.
