"I love it when a plan comes together!" Use a 3-cornered file to put a few notches in the Crosby clamp to engage the splines in the shift shaft, or you might encounter some slippage on an "energetic" shift! The Hurst shifter also has stop bolts that can be adjusted to prevent over-torquing the shift shafts, so don't forget to adjust them when the installation is complete.
