I get why some of you are caught up in wether or not I should be using a Ford forum as opposed to this one. But, I’m focusing on the Chevy truck chassis and drive components right now, so forget that I’m placing a Ford truck body on it. It sounds weird but, in California, since the chassis has a chassis number and the Ford body is pre WWII without a VIN#, it will be registered as a 1955 Chevy truck.
Jerry, I read your email about using a Crosby clamp to make shift lever tabs. I like the idea but trying to figure out what type of metal the clamp needs to be made of for welding the 1/4” plate to it. I only have a mig welder and if you saw my welding abilities you would never talk to me again. Thank god for grinders.
