| | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 149 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 149 | Well I bought Boomer from an elderly farmer up the road from me....and according to him he purchased "Boomer" several years ago down in the South Central part of the state at a surplus auction from the Atomic energy commision at the Hanford site.(another good reason to call the truck "Boomer")..lol, and no..it doesn't glow in the dark....
As to the transmission(s)? Yes that is a 4sp top-loader box you see taking power from the PTO... from the output of the 4sp pwr is then transfered (via chain drive) to the input of a 3sp trans. and output of the 3sp is direct coupled to the the input of the Tulsa winch.......
In normal operation you choose your cable speed/power with the 4sp trans....and utilize the 1st/rev of the 3sp to control cable direction (in/out)
