After many years I've decided to do major work on the engine. I started reviewing my old posts because I don't want to ask the same old questions again. I plan to remove the cylinders and head. Take measurements to see if I can just replace the rings, bearings and oil pump. I have a local machine shop I can take it to if needed but I was hoping to do this with it in the truck. Maybe I should just do it right and pull it out, take it to the shop and let him measure and get the parts I need?
As it is I don't know which engine it is. The 292 has the engine mounts in a different position I believe?
