Kb3csw, I think I can look into those valves and hopefully know what I’m looking at before calling in an expert.
1960C60Viking, The oil looks good. I hate to admit it but I wouldn’t have thought the distributor directly affected the oil pump. For the most part I’m really starting from ground zero as far as my mechanic skills (lack of).
Rich’sToys, I am really keeping my fingers crossed that’s what it is.
I need to find some repair/shop manuals for these trucks. If anyone has a good resource for these I’d love to know.

You may have all seen this already but in case you didn’t I thought I’d ad this link. Way out of my price range.
