Pack Rat there is something odd going on with that motor. Pull all the spark plugs out when its too hot to start and see if it will spin easy then.
If the starter spins it easy I would rule that out.
Roy my regular commute is down 305 from Day Road on Bainbridge to Lincoln Road in Poulsbo. I probably drove past you many times this past summer, even if you were on the night shift!
