If their is a hole in the frame itself, that should be a bolt hole for mounting the "Z" shaped spring bracket that should be mounted there (see the other thread pictures).
If you check that earlier conversation, the last picture shows the bracket with typed dimensions you can use to fabricate a replacement bracket if yours is missing entirely.
