Tks. I performed that before and after replacing the brushes with no postive results. Going to check regulator before removing generator again today for disassembly and further cleaning and inspection. Note-when backing out of garage I heard a metallic like vibration, while trying to locate noticed no charge. Suddenly, vibration stopped and then charging. Next day, same thing but softer vibrations but stopped with no charge, then when got to 35mph charge went to full for a couple seconds then to slight discharge which is where it is currently.
