Thanks Ron & Otto for the comeback. After looking at the carb, all the bracketry is on the carb--the problem is that the throttle wire is not long enough to go through the hole in the accelaratot rod. The throttle cable jacket is stretched out as far as it will go; I'm guessing that somewhere down the road, the wire got broken at the point where it went through the accelerator rod. Soo, new throttle cable and stop looks like it will solve the issue. Once again, thanks, guys.
